Today our teacher taught us about a sweet kind of Japanese food called たい焼き (taiyaki). Have you ever seen たい焼き before?
“Tai” is a type of fish and “yaki” means fried! The outside is like a pancake or a waffle and the inside is usually anko (sweet beans).
Depending on the store, you can also find other types. Some other common fillings are chocolate or custard.
