 Today’s Japanese phrase is いいね! (ii ne)!

 いいね! means “That’s good!” or “That’s nice!”.

 You can use it in response to something that someone says, that you like.

 For example:

A: 沖縄に行ってきたよ。(Okinawa ni ittekita yo.)

“I just got back from Okinawa.”

B: いいね!(ii ne!)

“That’s nice!”

ii desu ne

 To make this expression more formal, just add です (desu).

 いいですね! (ii desu ne!)
